Criticism is futile

1.       Don’t criticize, condemn or complain

2.       Give honest, sincere appreciation

Ways to make people like you

1.       Become genuinely interested in  other people

a.       Put yourself out to do things for other people-things that require time, energy unselfishness and thoughtfulness

2.       Smile

a.       Answer your phone with smile

b.       Smile is a messenger of goodwill

c.        

3.       Remember that a person’s name to that person is the sweetest and most important sound in any language

a.       The name sets the individual apart, it makes them unique among all others

4.       Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves. To be interesting, be interested

How to win friends to your way of thinking

1.       The only way to get the best of an arguments is to avoid it

2.       Show respect for the other person’s opinions- never say “you are wrong” (judge people by their own principles)

3.       If you are wrong admit it quickly and emphatically

a.       By fighting you never get enough but by yielding you get more than you expected

4.       Begin in a friendly way

Get other person saying “ yes, yes” immediately

Let the other person do great deal of the talking

5.       Let the other person feel that the idea is his/hers

6.       Try honesty to see things from the other person’s view
